Giant Pandas & Old Chengdu

Early start to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding — mornings are when pandas are most active (and most ridiculous). Afternoon at People's Park: bamboo-chair teahouse, ear cleaning if you're brave, and locals playing mahjong. Evening Sichuan opera with the famous face-changing (变脸) performance.

Hands-On Sichuan — Cooking Class & Hidden Lanes

Morning hot pot or Sichuan cuisine cooking class with a local chef — market visit included. Afternoon wandering Kuanzhai Alley's restored Qing-dynasty lanes and the Tibetan quarter near Wuhou Temple. Optional: Wenshu Monastery's vegetarian teahouse.

High-Speed Rail to Chongqing — The 8D Mountain City

Bullet train to Chongqing (about 1.5h). Ride the light rail straight through a 19-story residential building at Liziba, explore the WWII-era Eling Park viewpoints, then dinner at a proper Chongqing hot pot house. After dark: Hongyadong's eleven cliffside floors lit up gold over the river.

Ciqikou Old Town & Departure

Morning in Ciqikou Ancient Town — porcelain workshops, mahua pastry stalls, and river views. Private transfer to Chongqing Jiangbei Airport (CKG) or the rail station. Extending your trip? This route connects perfectly to a Yangtze cruise or our Jiuzhaigou route.
